Born and raised in Lima, since she was a kid, Isabel has always been curious to discover the world, from a street corner in a small town to the mountain that surrounds it, it was that interest and the taste for the service and commercial industry that she learned from her parents, especially from her mother, what impulse her to study Tourism Management. Isa has gained experience in different companies in the tourism and commercial industry, so over the years she has been able to know incredible places in Peru, she believes that every place has its charm but definitely, her favorite destination is always nature.
Born and raised in Lima, Luis descended from a family that has Spanish and Inca roots. His father's side of the family are from the northern part of Cajamarca and his mother's from the Central Jungle of Peru. He was always amazed by the lush green mountains and the welcoming friendliness of the people in La Merced when he went on trips with his mother to her homeland. It was these memories that later encouraged him to want to discover his country and everything it could offer.
Luis studied Tourism Administration and his passion remains intact after his first decade in the industry. Throughout his experiences he has visited the city of Cusco many times, boarded the luxury train, Hiram Bingham, on an expedition to Machu Picchu, sailed on a luxury cruise through the Amazon, surrounded by wildlife, explored from Puno to La Paz (Bolivia) and toured Lake Titicaca by catamaran, he has also visited several theaters in Buenos Aires and had a glass of wine in the Uco Valley in Mendoza (which is of course obligatory).
Johannes, born in Germany, has lived in many countries and cities around the world due to his wanderlust personality. His passion for Latin America was awoken by his love for traditional music from the continent, which led him to study Spanish, Portuguese, and Latin American studies at university. He has worked in Peru for five years and is always up for a new experience, having explored many lesser-traveled paths in the country.
Keyla studied at an American school in Peru, when she came to the end of her schooling, the big 'What's the next step?' question came up. She wasn't sure which career to pursue but she told herself that whatever it may be, she should be able to use her English. Organizing and coordinating were the words that resonated in her mind. With some doubt on whether to study business administration or hotels, a friend proposed commercial aviation, but in the end she opted for business administration.
Without realizing it she was beginning to develop her career in the tourism sector, firstly as a promoter and then a sales executive in several agencies. In 1999 and along with the birth of her daughter, Mariafe, she was also welcomed to the Setours family. Back then, we were a team of only 6 people in sales and 2 in operations. She has excelled in the company since then and found herself moving through the areas of sales, operations, negotiations and now reservations in her almost 20 years at the company.
Born and raised on the port-side of Lima, Cris descends from a wide cultural background, from the northern Andes of Peru to the faraway lands of Japan. It was this coming together of cultures that awoke her curiosity to travel and discover herself; this together with the tourism operation talents she inherited from her mother, got her into the service industry. She has had a wide crossover experience in different service businesses before landing in Setours. From restaurants to hotel and accounting gigs, Cris is always looking for new experiences and looks forward to transmitting this same enthusiasm while building journeys through South America.
A self-proclaimed solo traveler, amateur photographer and melomaniac above all, Cris’ hobbies include searching for unique destinations, landscapes and music to go along with the ambiance, as ‘every place has its own soundtrack’ she says. Whether it is riding the 6-hour ‘Macho train’ in the Peruvian Central Andes, birdwatching through treetops at Treehouse Lodge in Iquitos, trekking on top of Perito Moreno glacier in Patagonia, or whale and penguin watching on the Magellan Strait, her thrill of discovering new sensations through unique experiences, places and people never stops.
Katharina, originally from Northern Germany, was drawn to Latin America after volunteering in Costa Rica. She pursued a career in tourism and worked for a German tour operator, with a particular interest in South America. During her studies, she completed an internship abroad, which led her to Setours in Lima. Katharina worked in the sales department for six months and was impressed by the diverse landscape and culture of Peru beyond Machu Picchu.
Fabiola grew up in Quillabamba, a jungle town in Cusco, Peru, and learned from her family to appreciate the countryside, spending time with loved ones, and the value of helping others. She studied Administration and Tourism and has worked for over 20 years in the airline industry, serving travelers in various locations.
Fabiola has traveled extensively within and outside of Peru, with a fondness for Iquitos and Piura for their exotic nature, and Paris and New York for their diversity. However, her heart belongs to the Sacred Valley of Cusco for its unique energy.
Christine has always been passionate about travelling. Already in her childhood, she spent hours looking at the maps in her atlas dreaming about various destinations, especially South America. As a grown-up, she decided to study languages, Tourism and International Development. Throughout her studies and internships, she had the chance to make her dream come true as she travelled to and lived in several countries. Her personal highlight was her year in Chile, where she taught German to future German teachers. Afterwards, she travelled through other South American countries, and she was so impressed that she knew she wanted to turn her passion into her profession. Now she is very happy to be part of the Setours team. In her free time, Christine loves enjoying nature, doing sports and laughter yoga, visiting cultural events and concerts, and of course spending time with family and friends.
Amy has always been a wanderer at heart! Born in South Africa and raised in Romania and Austria, she was exposed to a wide range of cultures and customs from an early age. This intercultural upbringing sparked a passion for travel that has only grown stronger over the years. After earning her degree in tourism and leisure management and spending some time working for a tour operator in Dublin, Amy followed her dreams and joined an international travel team dedicated to creating memorable journeys for their customers. When she's not busy planning one-of-a-kind travel experiences, Amy loves spending time with her furry best friend, Chutney, hitting the trails and exploring the great outdoors, and of course, ticking new destinations off her ever-growing bucket list - with over 45 countries already visited!
Born in the central jungle and influenced by her cousins, who used to guide tourists on the way to the waterfalls in her town, Tracy has experimented with the industry since she was a child.
She clearly remembers once being on a field trip in Cusco in 2003. She was very enthusiastic about knowing how people from different countries and cities traveled so far to learn about Peruvian culture and its customs. In that moment, she realized that the tourism world would be part of her life.
In her free time, while studying Tourism & Hospitality, she used to work in a small tourist business with some entrepreneur friends, organizing school weekend trips while gaining experience.
Little by little, she found her way, and after going through a few companies, she arrived at Setours, where she was able to apply what she learned. Since then, her vocation of service has been to provide the best experience to the traveler.
