Stimulate your taste buds with a gastronomic tour exploring Lima´s food, flavors, and colors. You begin with a visit to a local market and have the opportunity to learn about Peru’s diversity. You then head into the bohemian neighborhood of Barranco, which features the ‘Bridge of Sighs' as well as the legendary ‘La Ermita’ chapel. Don’t miss out on a quick stop at Felicia & Domingo, a charming café and artisanal coffee shop supporting fair trade, where you can enjoy and buy exceptional organic coffees sourced from Peruvian farmers. After your delicious and sustainably sourced coffee, it’s time to taste some Peruvian flavors! Head to the new concept food court in Miraflores, called ‘Mercado 28’, where you can sample the delectable traditional Peruvian seafood dish, ceviche, before enjoying an artisanal ice cream made from the local fruits at ‘Blu’. You will then end your tour at ‘Huaca Pucllana’ – an archaeological site dating back to the 5th century, which is a great adobe and clay pyramid located in the heart of the modern Miraflores district.

Afternoon at leisure to explore the city at your pace.

Huaca Pucllana’s museum is closed on TUE and THU. Alternatively, you can visit the Huaca Huallamarca - an archaeological site dating from the 2nd century BC, entirely built with adobe bricks resembling grains of corn.

In the morning you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Cusco (flight not included). Upon arrival, you will be picked up and transferred to the Sacred Valley.

Learn all there is to know about Peruvian chocolate, tea, and coffee at a traditional ‘Finca’ in the Sacred Valley. Upon arrival at the farm, enjoy a delicious organic lunch prepared by Julia’s family and visit their coffee plantation. Make sure to taste some of the exotic fruits farmed here while listening to the stories that Julia, who runs the farm, has to tell. Roll up your sleeves and learn how to prepare a delicious Peruvian dinner with your host before enjoying your culinary masterpiece with the family. Before going to bed, learn how to peel, roast, and grind the delicious coffee you will be enjoying the next morning.

Keep in mind that the accommodation on the farm is very basic and rural. We recommend packing insect and sun protection as well as light layers and a rain jacket.

An exciting day revolving around chocolate awaits you this morning. Enjoy your hearty breakfast and your fresh coffee before heading over to the next farm. Develop a deeper appreciation for this delicious dessert as you learn about the harvest, drying, roasting, and grinding of cocoa beans. Don’t miss the chance to taste a freshly prepared hot cup of chocolate to round off the experience! A delicious lunch back at Julia’s farm awaits you before your drop-off at the train station to take the train to Aguas Calientes.

Upon your arrival, you will be met by your guide in Aguas Calientes, who will escort you to your hotel.

MACHU PICCHU - CUSCO (B)

This morning you will be greeted by your guide who will assist you onto the shuttle bus to the entrance of the citadel. During your guided tour you will experience the uniqueness of the location and the genius that went into its construction. The duration of your magical trip to one of the seven new wonders of the world will be 2.5 hours, after which you will make your way back out of the citadel with your guide.

Return by train from Aguas Calientes to Ollanta. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel in Cusco.

This afternoon you walk through the major sites of interest in Cusco. You visit the famous cathedral with its magnificently carved woodwork, ornate altar and many hundreds of canvases from the 17th-century Cusco Painting School. You continue exploring the cultural wealth of Cusco at the Temple of the Sun where we witness the incredible masonry of the Incas, an engineering feat that remains an enigma.  Afterward you walk along Hatunrumiyoc Street named after the 12-angled stone clearly visible in the remaining walls of what used to be Inca Roca’s Palace. You make a last stop in San Blas artisan quarter. Its steeped cobblestone alleys not only offer spectacular views of the city but are lined with workshops and galleries, a great way to soak in Cusco's artistic atmosphere.

CUSCO – LIMA - ICA (B)

In the morning you will be transferred to the airport to take your domestic flight to Lima (flight not included). Upon your arrival, you will journey in a private vehicle from Lima to Ica (only with Spanish-speaking driver)

Santiago Queirolo is one of the best-known wine and Pisco producers in Peru, with a rich history dating back to 1880 when Italian immigrant Santiago Queirolo arrived in the country. In his tavern in Pueblo Libre (Lima), he sold traditional Peruvian Creole food, wine, and Pisco made from grapes grown on land he bought in the south of the capital. Today, managed by the third generation, the company boasts one of the most modern wine and Pisco plants in Peru with a production capacity of 5 million liters.

Your afternoon tour begins with a guided walk through the vineyards of Santiago Queirolo, led by a sommelier who will explain the differences between various types of grapes and the process of growing and ripening them. Afterward, you will visit the distillery to learn about the production process of wine and Pisco. Next, a 10-minute drive takes you to a lookout point where you can enjoy a delicious glass of sparkling wine while taking in beautiful views of the vineyards. Finally, back at the winery, you will have the chance to taste some of Queirolo's wines and Pisco before sitting down to a well-deserved lunch.

It is time to bid farewell to Peru! After checking out of your hotel, you will journey back to Lima airport to take your international flight back home (flight is not included).
