Morning flight to Calama.
Upon arrival you will be transferred to San Pedro de Atacama for a 4-night stay at Explora Atacama. The property was built on the Ayllu de Larache (a community of the ancient Aymara people) only a 10-minute walk away from the center of San Pedro. Its 50 rooms are designed to blend in with the landscape and feature views to the Andes Mountains and garden. During your all-inclusive stay you will have a selection of more than 40 guided excursions to the most remote places of the impressive Atacama Desert. Explora Atacama has its own stable with horses for use during explorations, access to the Puritama Hot Springs, warm common spaces and an observatory where you can marvel at the pristine skies of San Pedro (some of the best skies in the world). You will also have 4 swimming pools, 2 outdoor Jacuzzis, 2 saunas, 2 steam rooms and a relaxation area at your disposal. Your stay includes: transfers to/from Calama airport only with driver, all meals and drinks as well as à la carte activities with other hotel guests.

Whilst in Santiago you cannot miss the Casablanca Valley. One of the quality leaders in the Casablanca Valley is undoubtedly Casas del Bosque an award-winning family boutique winery established in 1993.

The day will start with a visit of the vineyards in Casablanca Valley (70 km northwest from Santiago). Situated on the coastal plain between Santiago and Valparaiso, Casablanca is Chile’s fastest growing wine region. Soil and climate favor the production of top-quality Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. You will visit Casas del Bosque. Enjoy a tour of vineyards (conducted in English shared with other visitors) and cellars and sample in its Aromas Bar from one Reserva and two Gran Reserva labels (three tastings total). After the vineyard visit you will continue your journey to Valparaiso. With its colorful hillside homes overlooking the Pacific and winding stairways, the Chilean port city of Valparaiso, a UNESCO World Heritage, is alive with avant-garde culture and vibrant street art. Once in Plaza Sotomayor, Valparaiso’s main square, your guide will point out important buildings such as the Chilean Navy Building and the Chilean Customs House. You then take Ascensor Concepción, the city’s oldest elevator, a funicular that climbs Cerro Concepción (Concepción Hill). From up the hills, you can take in the colorful vistas of this avant-garde town and take unique pictures before returning to Santiago (driving time: approx. 2 ½ hours, 119 km).

At the proper time, you will have a short walking transfer, on your own, to the airport to take your international flight to go home.
