IMPORTANT:
The itineraries are subject to change due to weather or river conditions.
Upon arrival in Cusco, you will be met at the airport and be transferred to your hotel.
Afterwards, enjoy a 3-course gourmet lunch this afternoon at Iskay, located only minutes away from the village center of Maras, idyllically situated on a hill with impressive views over the surrounding valley. Upon arrival, you will be warmly welcomed by Tatiana and Jeremy to their lovingly furnished family home which is also the location of this private restaurant. The season and daily harvest, which comes from the restaurant's own garden and surrounding fields, determine the three-course delectable menu which is personally created and freshly prepared by the hostess.
The train ride takes you through the Sacred Valley of the Incas up to Machu Picchu. Upon arrival a small coach takes you up the steep roads to the entrance of the citadel. For centuries Machu Picchu remained undiscovered by the Spaniards and has only been found in 1911 by the American explorer Hiram Bingham. During a guided tour you will experience the uniqueness of the location and the genius that went into its construction, making this Inca site one of the seven new wonders of the world.
Afterwards return by train from Aguas Calientes to Ollanta to be transferred by car to your hotel in Cusco.
