LC Peru with new flights Lima-Pisco-Cusco from November
2012-09-13 17:14:37

From November 2012 LC PERU will operate regular flights on the route Lima-Pisco-Cusco with a fleet of new DASH 8-202 planes. Our colleague Morayma Pizarro flew with them to Cusco. The advantage of this new option is definitely the personalized service aboard and during check in at the airport thanks to the reduced capacity of the new aircrafts. Additionally LC PERU plans to operate flights over the Nasca Lines with a new fleet of Canadian TWIN OTTER DHC 6-300.

The new Tababela’s Airport will be opened by February 20, 2013 instead of October 2012. The underdeveloped road infrastructure that is required to access to the airport is the main reason for the delay.

The new ‘Cena de Oro’ (‘Golden Dinner’) in Cusco
2012-09-13 17:06:48

Cusco has a new gastronomic proposal for discerning travellers - the ‘Golden Dinner’. This is a new concept offered by the ‘MAP’ - the restaurant set in the courtyard of the Museum of Pre-Columbian Art (MAP). The collection is housed in a beautiful colonial mansion – once the residence of Count de la Cabrera - and focuses on the ancient Peruvian cultures representing 3,000 years of history. The 7 course gourmet dinner is served in a magical atmosphere decorated with silver and gold artifacts of the museum’s collectin. A minimum of 4 is required and a maximum of 16 guests can be accommodated in the dining room. Click here to check out some pictures of the ‘Golden Dinner’

More than 100 million dollars have been invested in a highway of 200 km that connects Potosi with Uyuni in about 3 hours (instead of the former 6-hour drive). The Bolivian Government expects to increase the number of visitors to Uyuni salt pans with this new road.

‘Comer con Corazón‘ (‘Eat with heart’) at Urubamba market
2012-09-13 16:44:18

Some of our clients ask us about alternatives to share with the community during their stay in Peru. There is a new option to eat and share in the Sacred Valley (Cusco). A German NGO opened a restaurant ‘Comer con Corazón’ at the Urubamba Market to fund its social projects. The German chef Kerstin cooks at lunch time in her small but impeccable stall on the 3rd floor of the market. Comer con Corazón is open from Monday to Friday, 12pm to 4pm.
